DP#7 Mustard Seed and the Kingdom of God

With its takeover properties, the mustard seed has the power to choke out other plants that are growing around it. I think this is a metaphor for the Kingdom of God, in that it isn't going to always be a happy, peaceful place because there are going to be people who try to push others down, just like the mustard seed does with its weed like qualities. The mustard seed is symbolic of the planting of a certain quality that a person would like to develop. One can plant a seed and see how it develops in their life.
